Every festival has a lineup. Ours has an origin Story.
As we approach 300 ticket sales, we’re taking a moment to revisit our origins.
The very first Lost Forty wasn’t a festival—it was a weekend. A free gathering of 50 friends on a sandbar in the woods, playing music for each other, building a homemade Ampitheater out of sticks, and letting the river be our stage.
That was the origin of Lost Forty.
And though we've grown—now nearing 350 attendees—the spirit remains the same: connection, creativity, and wild joy in nature.
🎥 This short film by Seth Arter captures that origin story.
Filmed during Seth’s first experience at Lost Forty, his documentary gives you a glimpse into what this festival is really about—from the inside.
Whether you're new here or part of the story already, we hope this video brings you into the heart of our community.
