Festival Announcement - Valley Of The Green Giants

The Lost 40 Art, Music, & Flow Festival returns July 30 – August 2, 2026, opening its gates in a new and magical home — the Valley of the Green Giants in Le Sueur, Minnesota, just down the road from Jack McGowan’s place.

Hidden inside an 80-acre sanctuary of winding forest paths, open prairies, flowing creeks, and glowing meadowland, Lost 40 is a four-day camping gathering where music, movement, art, and community come together. As the sun sets, the Great Meadow comes alive with live bands, dancers, and fire-spinners, filling the night with rhythm and flame. By day, the land invites wandering — from cool swimming holes along Le Sueur Creek to quiet wooded camps and hidden clearings made for rest and discovery.

After hosting the festival at his home for the past few years, Jack McGowan, now age 89, has officially retired and closed his campground. Jack is considered family to Lost 40 and played a foundational role in its growth. Plans are underway to welcome Jack as Guest of Honor during the Dinner Circle, celebrating the roots of the festival and the land that made it possible.

🎥 About the Film The newly released Side Show Stage video was filmed at Jack McGowan Farm in Mankato, Minnesota. It captures a quiet stage beneath the trees transforming into a glowing, music-filled gathering space after dark — a glimpse of how Lost 40 turns simple places into living moments.
